Gunn revealed the stellar cast for The Suicide Squad in September 2019, including the returning Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman and Viola Davis as Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Rick Flag and Amanda Waller respectively.
The rest was announced on August 2020. Here’s the cast list in, well, list form:

One particular moment of the trailer seemed to confirm that Starro the Conqueror would be in the movie, as the team face off against a giant starfish in the closing moments of the brilliant trailer.
The character was first rumoured when Gunn premiered a behind-the-scenes video at DC FanDome in August 2020 that gave us our first look at the movie.
