WHY DID KIM KARDASHIAN FILE FOR A DIVORCE ?
The beginning of the end of the marriage comes after the announcement of the end of the show that made her family’s name, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, was coming to an end in 2021 after 14 long years.
As per reports, the court documents reveal that Kardashian cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce. However, such a big reveal didn’t come as a big surprise for a lot of people. In fact, the couple had been participating in marriage counselling for quite some time before they actually split up. For those who have been following “Kimye” from a long time must know that back in 2019, they were having conflicting opinions on the parenting of their four kids. During her appearance on the American Tv Show – “The Talk”, she mentioned that Kanye is more inclined towards following a very strict approach in parenting while Kim doesn’t agree to it at all. She said “The kids are getting older. He’s very cautious about what we have in the house — we got rid of the TVs in the kids’ rooms and removed makeup from North’s room,” she continued and also said “I’m always gonna be me, and so we had discussions and fights,” she added. “He’s gonna do things that I don’t agree with, but there’s also that fine line of staying firm and doing what you feel comfortable with.” Well, this clearly shows that they were having some problems from quite some time.
But, what made Kim finally pull the plug? A lot of people believe that things were already in motion following West’s public mental health breakdown an year back, followed by a really unexpected bid for US presidency the same year. According to a source who spoke to Page Six, Kardashian “needed to end the marriage for the sake of her kids and her own sanity.” In fact, close sources to Kim said that she actually wanted to file for divorce in the previous year itself because she was ‘tired of waiting’ but was still ‘trying to give him a chance.’
If you have been active on your socials, you definitely heard the rumours and would have not missed the memes about Kanye having an alleged relationship with Jeffree Star during the split- but in case you needed to hear it again, that totally did not happen and is far from being the reason as to why the couple split.
Since we are talking about social media here, you must have noticed that both Kim and Kanye have been committed to co- parenting. However, the couple had been living separately for months before the divorce wheels started to turn. Kardashian was cooped up at her home in Los Angeles, and West was in Wyoming after his devastating election loss. “December was a rough month for Kim,” a source was quoted to be saying. “She has been living separately from Kanye. Over the holidays, it was hard for her to stay positive. She has been trying her best, though, for the kids.” They added that while “She is sad about it, of course,” the split was also “inevitable” after the difficult year they’ve faced. “She just feels she has done everything in her power to make her marriage work. Even though she has been thinking about divorce for months, she hasn’t filed because she feels terrible for the kids.”
